CNK Collaborates on Transformative Climate Communities Effort
The CNK is excited to be part of a historic collaborative effort that directs $23 million in state funding, matched by an additional $47 million in leveraged funds, into a wide range of alternative energy, active transportation, and greening projects in the Pacoima-Sun Valley area of northeast Los Angeles.
The CNK will be assisting Pacoima Beautiful and the Green Together Collaborative with its Displacement Avoidance Plan (DAP), designed to achieve important environmental, health, workforce development, and climate resilience benefits. More details about the project can be found here.
To develop underlying research for the DAP, we partnered with the UCLA Department of Urban Planning to co-host the 2019 MURP Comprehensive Project. In 2020, we partnered with the Department, the Luskin Center for Innovation, and the Latino Policy and Politics Initiative to co-host the 2020 MURP Comprehensive Project.
